Annapurna Panorama Trek - Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking

Annapurna Panorama Trek is also popularly known as Ghorepani- Poon hill trek. This trek is a very short and easy trek inside Annapurna region. It is a tiny loop circuit inside the Annapurna circuit. The trekking trial is best suitable for the people who have extremely short time to experience the adventure of trekking in Nepal. It is even suitable for the children between 8-15 years old. This easy trekking route can be recommended to the beginners which can be completed within 05 days. The most popular destination of this trek is Poon hill, which gives you the best view of whole Annapurna range. Villages like Ghorepani and Ghandruk are spectacular where predominantly ethnic background of Gurung and Thakali people lives. Their dress, language, cultures and customs are unique and completely hidden to the modern world. Moreover, their hospitality is the main factor for attracting large number of tourists. The trek can be starts from Pokhara. The maximum elevation point for this trial is 3210 meters at Poon hill.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival, pick up and transfer to Hotel

Upon arrival on the Tribhuwan International Airport, our staff will pick you up and transfer to Hotel. At the Hotel our Trekking Manager will discuss about the trekking itinerary and details.

Day 02: Fly to Pokhara, Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Birethati (1080m)

The flight duration to Pokhara from Kathmandu is only 30 minutes and the drive from Pokhara to Nayapul is one and half hour. After reaching Nayapul, the trekking starts uphill path to Birethati and the journey duration is one hour approximately.

Day 03: Birethati to Tikhedhunga (1540m)

The trekking trail is slow uphill ascending pathway with small tea shops on the way. The journey to Tikhedhunga will approximately take four and half hours.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2860m)

The trekking trial to Ghorepani will continue to ascend uphill pathway with a steep uphill climb just before reaching Ghorepani. Ghorepani is located on the top of the hill and the place is renowned for their hospitality.       

Day 05: Ghorepani –Poon hill (3210m) to Tadapani (2560m)

The trekking trial from Ghorepani to reach Poon hill is a slow uphill pathway. Poon- hill is popular spot for capturing the distant view of Annapurna Mountain range, after visit to Poon- hill the pathway will ascend downhill and we will reach Tadapani for the overnight stop.

Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk (2000m)

The trial will lead downhill descend all the way to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the paradise village of the Western region of Nepal. The view of the village from the top of a hill just before reaching the village is nostalgic. Ghandruk is mostly populated with Gurung people and they are renowned in the world for their hospitality.

Day 07: Ghandruk to Birethati and drive back to Pokhara

The trial descends further into the tropical forests passing through the small tea shops. The total duration of the journey is 04 hours. Then from Birethati we walk up to Nayapul and then drive to Pokhara for approximately one and half hour.

Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu

The scenic drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara is 06 hours. However, if you want to take a flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu then the duration is only 30 minutes.

Day 09: Airport drop for final departure

We will transfer you to international Airport for your final departure and wish for your safe journey back home.
