Classic Annapurna Circuit Trek in Annapurna Region

Annapurna Circuit trek is the classical trekking route of Annapurna region and it is predominantly the most popular trial among other trekking routes in Nepal. Astonishing landscapes, magnificent mountains, unique culture and traditions with bio diverse flora and fauna makes this trial a masterpiece of all trekking destinations. The spectacular views of Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Khangsar peak, Tilicho peak, Thorang La Peak can be captured. This trekking is highly fascinating as well as challenging at the same time. By the year 2011, approximately 99,296 tourists had visited this area. Most of trial route have the facility of tea house based lodges and hotels so that you can travel this places with comfort. However, the special destinations of Annapurna region like Nar-Phu village and Tilicho Lake will need special preparations like camping facilities. Due to urbanization, in the present days some places are accessible with roads so you can skip walking at those places.

Itinerary

 

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, pick up and transfer to hotel

Upon arrival, our staff will pick you up and transfer you to hotel. Our Trekking Manager will discuss about the details about your trekking.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Beshi Sahar (790m) by regular bus

The drive from Kathmandu to Beshi Sahar will take approximately 08 hours. No Tourist buses are available to reach Beshi Sahar and thus we need to get a Local bus to reach Beshi Sahar. Now- a-days buses run up to Bhulbule which is one hour drive from Beshi Sahar.

Day 03: Trek to Bahun Danda (1300m)

The first Dao of the Trek is a Pleasant start crossing through lots of tea shops, few waterfalls and crossing the rivers continuously. The trial is a slow ascent until we reach at the foothill of Bahun Dada. To reach to the top of Bahun Dada we have to make a steep uphill ascent of approximately one and half hour. Bahun Dada is located at the top of the hill and provides some magnificent view typical land topography of Nepal.

Day 04: Trek to Tal (1800m)

Today's trial will start with the gentle descent downhill and few ascents and descents. The trekking trial cuts through many village settlements and tea shops. Just Before reaching Tal, you will have to make up a steep uphill ascent for about approximately one and half hour. From the top point just before descending to Tal, the view of Tal settlement looks spectacular most likely as a drained off big lake. Tal means lake in Nepalese term.

Day 05: Trek to Chame (2700m)

Chame is headquarter of Manang district and it is a market stronghold for Manang district. Upon reaching Chame, you must put your entry in the tourist check point. The trial to Chame is more ascending uphill pathway than descends. The total duration of walk will be approximately five and half hour.

Day 06: Trek to Pisang (3200m)

The trekking trial from Chame to Pisang will approximately take 05 hours. After leaving Chame, within forty five minutes you will enter Danaque and leaving past Danaque the trial cuts into the thick tropical forests where you will find few tea shops on the way. The trial in the forest is steep uphill pathway and few obstacles lie in the way and the trial is slippery on this way. On reaching the top of through the forest, you will enter Temang village. Past Temang village there is another steep uphill ascent just after the suspension bridge. After that the path is gentle slope all the way to Lower Pisang.

Day 07: Trek to Manang (3400m)

From Pisang you will make a steep uphill ascent to Upper Piisang just after crossing the suspension bridge. From Upper Pisang you will continue to ascent uphill pathway and discover the mesmerizing lake. Past the lake there is steep uphill ascent of approximately 02 hours to reach to the top of Gyharu. From Ghyaru the magnificent views of Annapurna II, IV, Gangapurna and Lamjung Himal can be captured. Your eyes remains stunned with the views of the mountains from Ghyaru. Having refreshing tea at Ghyaru you will walk a gentle slope for one hour to reach Ngawal where lunch will be served. From here steep downhill pathway followed by pleasant gradual walk of approximately 03 hours will lead to Manang village. The total duration of the journey for this day is six hours and thirty minutes.

Day 08: Excursion day around the Manang village

Manang is the best place to rest your muscles and free yourself. Few attractions like Gangapurna Lake, hundred rupees lama Monastery, Ice Lake and other places of attractions can be visited on this day.

Day 09: Trek to Yak Kharka (4000m)

The journey to Yak Kharka is a pleasant where you will encounter gentle uphill ascends and few descend. As you are walking towards an altitude of 4000 meters you are advised to walk slowly and steady pace. The total duration of walk is approximately four hours and 30 minutes.

Day 10: Trek to Thorang high camp (4800m)

The journey to Thorang La high camp is slow uphill ascend and upon the trial you will find lots of Yaks (Note: Yaks are often domesticated by the people living in this area and most of the people are Yak herders). The total duration of walk to reach Thorang Low camp is approximately 03 hours and from the low camp the steep uphill pathway of approximately one hour and forty five minutes will take you to Thorang high camp. You will sleep overnight on the high camp.

Day 11: Trek to Muktinath (3810m) Via Thorang-La (5415m)

From Thorang La high camp you will need to make an early journey at 4.30 am in the morning in order to avoid the storm and wind. Approximately after 03 hours slow uphill ascend will take you to the top of the Thorang La Pass. There is a small tea shop on the top of the Thorang La Pass where you can refresh yourself with tea. Then the pathway descends continuously for 02 hours to reach the lower side of Thorang La. From there a journey of approximately 02 hours will take you to Muktinath.

Day 12: Trek to Kagbeni (2600m) after Muktinath Temple Excursion

After breakfast we will visit to Muktinath temple which is important to both Hindu and Buddhist according to their own perspectives, After the visit we will descend downhill pathway to reach Kagbeni which should take no more than 2 hours and 30 minutes. After having lunch at Kagbeni you can go around exploring Kagbeni.

Day 13: Trek to Marpha (2600m)

The trial will run parallel to the bank of Kali Gandaki river. However, the trial is windy and dusty so wearing a sunglass is recommended for this trial. The journey will approximately take 06 hours. Marpha is famous for apples, where you can taste green and red apples. There are few apple distilleries where you can buy apple brandy and these apple brandies are famous all over the world.

Day 14: Trek to Ghasa (2000m)

The trial is easy descending down through the village settlements and tea shops. The trial is big enough to support the four wheel drive. Most of the inhabitants in this area are Brahmin, Chettris, Gurung and Magar.

Day 15: Trek to Tatopani (1100m)

The trial further descends down all the way to Tatopani. Tatopani means hot spring water in Nepalese term. Once you reach Tatopani you can enjoy yourself at the natural hot spring water.

Day 16: Trek to Ghorepani (2800m)

The trial further descends downhill through the forests and village settlements. Just before reaching Ghorepani, the pathway ascends steeply and the total duration to reach to the top of Ghorepani is approximately 02 hours. Ghorepani is located at the top of a hill and it is famous for its hospitality.

Day 17: Trek to Hile (1500m) via Poon hill (3200m)

The trial will swiftly descend all the way to Hile. On the way we will go to Poon- hill for viewing the Annapurna range from a fair distance.

Day 18: Trek back to Pokhara via Birethanti (1100m) and overnight at hotel

The final day of the trekking trial steeply descends all the way to Nayapul. From Nayapul we will drive to Pokhara and the total duration is 01 hour. You will sleep overnight in hotel at Pokhara.

Day 19: Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus and overnight at hotel

The scenic bus drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes approximately 06 hours.

Day 20: Transfer to International airport for your final departure

We will drop you in the international airport for the final departure.
